About Sue
Sue is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Behavior Specialist, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with about 20 years of experience. She has her bachelor’s in psychology from Lock Haven University and her master’s in clinical psychology from Argosy University. She attended graduate school in Hawaii on the island of O’ahu, gaining an array of experiences and opportunities for learning in a culturally diverse environment. Her experience includes outpatient, inpatient, and community-based mental health.
Sue uses an eclectic approach to therapy to meet individualized therapy needs with her primary approach being trauma-informed, strength-based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Other modalities utilized include Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and Mindfulness, among other evidence-based practices. She has experience working with bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, neurodivergence, stress management, and more. Sue specializes in adolescent, teen, & adult depression/anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, trauma, gender identity, and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. She provides gender-affirming care in a supportive and non-judgmental space. She has experience with a wide range of ages and abilities, currently working with individuals, ages 12 years and older.
Sue’s lifelong dream has been to create a thriving and supportive therapy practice. She is excited to be pursuing her passion for empowering individuals to meet their goals. She’s passionate about taking care of our environment, empowering our younger generations, and de-stigmatizing mental health. Sue enjoys continuing her education to gain knowledge and skills that will benefit those who work with her. Outside of work, Sue enjoys reading, sleeping, spending time with her family, and barbell training.
